El convenio también contempla optimizar el sistema de alcantarillado sanitario en los proyectos inmobiliarios privados del Distrito Nacional y la provincia
Santo Domingo. – La Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD) y la Asociación Dominicana de Constructores y Promotores de Vivienda (ACOPROVI) firmaron un acuerdo interinstitucional, que contribuirá a mejorar las redes de distribución de agua potable en los proyectos inmobiliarios desarrollados por constructores privados en el Distrito Nacional y la provincia.
El convenio, que fue suscrito por Felipe -Fellito- Suberví, director general de la CAASD, y la ingeniera Annerys Meléndez, presidente de ACOPROVI, contempla la construcción de las acometidas de agua potable, además de intervenciones en el sistema de alcantarillado sanitario para viviendas privadas en desarrollo.
Suberví destacó que la importancia de este convenio, no solo por el considerable crecimiento y niveles de inversión que experimenta el sector de la construcción en la economía dominicana, sino también por la necesidad de hacer un uso sostenible de los recursos hídricos.
“Cada día se incrementa el número de personas y de unidades habitacionales en el Gran Santo Domingo, mientras se mantienen los mismos niveles de agua. Viendo esta realidad, acordamos con ACOPROVI estrechar lazos para que, bajo nuestra supervisión, el gremio construya las acometidas de agua potable y alcantarillado sanitario en sus proyectos, siguiendo los protocolos establecidos”, agregó el funcionario.
De su lado, Meléndez afirmó que los constructores y desarrolladores inmobiliarios afiliados al gremio implementan las mejores prácticas de la industria para garantizar que la construcción de cada infraestructura física cuente con los más altos estándares de calidad, una característica que será capitalizada en este convenio.
“Sin duda, este acuerdo contribuirá a eficientizar las redes de suministro de agua potable en los proyectos inmobiliarios, elevando la calidad de vida de los adquirientes de estas unidades habitacionales; mientras que para los desarrolladores implicará la reducción del tiempo y optimización de procesos durante la fase de construcción”, indicó la presidenta de ACOPROVI.
Otros acuerdos
La CAASD se comprometió en supervisar la instalación y velar porque se cumplan las normas técnicas en lo que se refiere a la operación del sistema, manejo de las redes de distribución de agua y suspensión del servicio para la instalación de las acometidas.
Ambas entidades están conscientes de que la cooperación interinstitucional constituye uno de los mecanismos más eficaces para impulsar de forma coherente e integral las transformaciones que requiere la sociedad y de esta manera contribuir al mejoramiento económico y social del país.
Asimismo, desarrollarán un programa por un período determinado en el proceso de solicitud de aprobación de acometidas de agua y alcantarillado sanitario, destacando la importancia que esto conlleva para la salud de los munícipes, y el desarrollo industrial y comercial de la provincia Santo Domingo y el Distrito Nacional.
Sobre ACOPROVI
La ACOPROVI es una asociación que representa al sector construcción y vivienda a nivel nacional, reuniendo a las empresas que intervienen en la construcción en general y en el desarrollo de proyectos habitacionales y, por tanto, procura colaborar con las instituciones del Estado que tienen competencia para la emisión y fiscalización de permisos y autorizaciones para la construcción.
