Corporación gastó más de RD$70 millones para reparar daño que causó la empresa
Santo Domingo. – La Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD) se constituyó en actor civil y presentó formal querella en contra de la empresa Hormigones América, S.R.L, y sus socios por causar la avería de gran magnitud en una línea de 67 pulgadas del acueducto Valdesia Santo Domingo y que dejó a 80 sectores del Distrito Nacional sin el suministro de agua potable.
En la querella fueron sometidos por ante el Procurador General de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales de la provincia San Cristóbal los señores Gabino Aroldo Ramos Guzmán, Victor Ramón Ramos Guzmán, Isaías Ramos Guzmán e Isaías Odalis Ramos Ferreyra, socios de la empresa.
La CAASD los acusa de violar junto a la grancera los tipos penales: artículos 9, 40, 41 párrafo 9 y 10, 76, 164, 169, 175, 183, 2, 3, 4 y 5 de la Ley General Sobre Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales, y Ley 123 del 10 de mayo del año 1971, que prohíbe la extracción de los componentes de la corteza terrestre llamados arena, grava, gravilla y piedras y su Reglamento 1315 para la aplicación de dicha norma.
El director general de la CAASD, arquitecto Alejandro Montás, prometió a la población que: «No dejaremos las cosas en el aire, esta avería provocada por la grancera Hormigones América le costó a la CAASD más de 70 millones de pesos, sin contar la pérdida del agua, por lo que llegaremos a las últimas consecuencias junto al Ministerio de Medio Ambiente».
De igual modo, el funcionario manifestó que “no habrá acciones sin consecuencias” por lo que procedió de manera penal y civil contra la grancera que provocó la avería en la línea de 67 pulgadas del acueducto Valdesia Santo Domingo, donde más de 600 usuarios se vieron afectados durante tres días por ese daño.
«Ya tenemos un enlace con Jean Alain Rodríguez, procurador general de la República, quien nos ha manifestado su apoyo. Hemos procedido para que la empresa se haga responsable del pago de los daños y sean sancionados sus propietarios», agregó.
Montás expresó que las granceras son masivas en la zona de Manoguayabo, cerca de los ríos, afectando el medio ambiente y los suelos de la zona.
