Santo Domingo.- La Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD), a través de su departamento de Desarrollo y Promoción Social, recibió y reconoció a estudiantes de la Escuela Primaria Duarte, del sector Herrera, municipio Santo Domingo Oeste, quienes expusieron su proyecto participativo del aula sobre el uso racional del agua potable.
Mediante el proyecto, los estudiantes buscan concienciar a la comunidad educativa del barrio Duarte, de Herrera, con un llamado a los demás alumnos y la comunidad a fomentar el manejo adecuado del preciado líquido.
Daniris Villanueva, coordinadora del segundo ciclo de la citada escuela, indicó que «lo más importante para nosotros es concienciar a la comunidad sobre el uso racional del agua potable. Con este proyecto buscamos abordar y trabajar los problemas que afectan a nuestra comunidad».
Fátima Rosario, estudiante de primero de secundaria A, señaló que «en la escuela tenemos la prioridad de trabajar el uso adecuado del agua, concientizando a nuestros vecinos y los demás estudiantes de nuestra escuela a no desperdiciar el agua y cuidarla».
Para la realización de este proyecto los estudiantes llevarán a cabo actividades diversas, como son: conversatorios, charlas, investigaciones e informes, caminatas y entrega de brochures, panel, entre otros.
Al finalizar la actividad, los estudiantes fueron juramentados como “Vigilantes del Agua” de su sector y realizaron una visita por el Laboratorio de Calidad del Agua de la CAASD, donde pudieron observar el proceso producción del agua potable y les fueron entregados certificados de participación.
