Santo Domingo. – La Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD) incorporó el servicio de agua potable a decenas de familias residentes en el barrio La Antena, de Arroyo Hondo Viejo, en el Distrito Nacional.
Así lo informó el director de la CAASD, ingeniero Felipe Subervi, quien resaltó que, con la instalación de redes de distribución y acometidas domiciliarias el preciado líquido llegará de modo regular a cada hogar de la localidad.
Además, destacó que, con estas ejecuciones, la institución abastece a una población que llevaba más de 20 años demandando el servicio.
“Trabajamos para que toda la población tenga acceso a este recurso que es imprescindible para la vida”, manifestó el funcionario.
De igual modo, Suberví explicó que, en el sector de La Antena, brigadas de la Corporación realizaron trabajos de conexión en la red de distribución de agua potable, donde fueron instalados 120 metros lineales de tubería de tres pulgadas para beneficiar a más de 40 familias.
El funcionario agregó que los equipos de la CAASD también realizaron trabajos de asfaltado en las calles del lugar.
Reacción de comunitarios al estrenar servicio de agua
De su lado, dirigentes comunitarios agradecieron al director de la CAASD por escuchar sus reclamos y llevarles solución a esa necesidad que les afectó por más de dos décadas.
Narraron el cambio en sus vidas tras las ejecutorias realizadas por la entidad estatal, en comparación con épocas anteriores.
“Era algo caótico, pero ya es diferente; no tenemos que hacer mayores esfuerzos en busca de agua, porque la CAASD dejó resuelto ese problema”, manifestó uno de los representantes del sector.
Indicaron que, debido a los esfuerzos de la entidad estatal, ya no tendrán que salir de sus hogares en busca del preciado líquido, además de tener que movilizarse a largos trayectos.
“Esta fue una obra completamente humanitaria y muy necesaria, estamos muy agradecidos con la gestión que desempeña Suberví en la CAASD”, expresó otro de los residentes en La Antena.
Asimismo, valoraron la rápida respuesta por parte del titular de institución para llevarles tranquilidad.
Además, realizaron una actividad para celebrar que por fin sus reclamos fueron escuchados y la comunidad ya cuenta con agua potable.
