Santo Domingo. – La Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD), inició este lunes el proceso de vacunación contra el COVID-19 al personal de salud, a través de su Departamento Médico, bajo la coordinación del Ministerio de Salud Pública (MSP).
El doctor Rafael Lora encargado del Departamento Médico de la CAASD, informó que aproximadamente 60 empleados recibirán este lunes la primera dosis de la vacuna.
“Esperamos que todo sea exitoso, que el personal médico sea vacunado para que en el futuro próximo se ejecute el plan de vacunación para el todo el personal de la CAASD”, puntualizó el doctor Lora.
La vacuna recibida por el personal de salud es la CoronaVac, desarrollada por la compañía farmacéutica china Sinovac Biotech, la cual consiste en la supresión del virus, provocar respuesta inmune, creación de anticuerpo, alto al virus y memoria de este.
Esta vacuna está siendo suministrada por el Ministerio Público de Salud mediante el Programa Amplio de Inmunización (PAI).
El procedimiento de vacunación consiste en la aplicación de dos dosis, una vez la persona recibe la primera, en periodo de veintiún días se le suministra la segunda.
La doctora De León estuvo presente en representación del MSP.
