Santo Domingo. – La Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD) informó que sus brigadas corrigieron 591 averías en las redes de distribución de agua potable, en lo que va de julio, mejorando el servicio a miles de usuarios.
El director de la entidad, Fellito Suberví, destacó que la rápida respuesta y la efectividad de las brigadas han sido cruciales para garantizar la continuidad del servicio de agua potable a los usuarios, incluso frente a los desafíos presentados por las condiciones climáticas adversas.
“Gracias a la eficiencia y diligencia de nuestras brigadas, hemos logrado corregir un gran número de averías, asegurando que nuestros usuarios continúen recibiendo un servicio de agua potable de calidad», expresó.
En ese sentido, el funcionario aseguró que la mayoría de estas roturas se deben a daños ocasionados por las corrientes de agua producto de las últimas lluvias caídas en el Gran Santo Domingo. «Las constantes corrientes de agua han afectado algunas infraestructuras, pero hemos respondido rápidamente para minimizar el impacto en la comunidad».
Suberví instó a la ciudadanía a colaborar reportando cualquier incidencia en la red de distribución de agua potable de sus sectores a través del número único de atención a usuarios 809-562-3500.
«La participación de la comunidad es vital para que podamos actuar con prontitud y eficiencia, juntos, podemos asegurar que todos tengan acceso a agua potable de calidad», concluyó.
Averías resueltas
Sobre la corrección de averías, la entidad informó que la mayoría de estas se realizaron en tuberías de media, tres cuartos, dos, tres y cuatro pulgadas, además de dos correcciones en tubería de 20 y dos en tubería de 30 pulgadas, entre otras, para mantener maximizado el servicio de agua potable.
De acuerdo con los informes que emite la Dirección de Operaciones, se realizaron 46,568 correcciones en alcantarillado sanitario, además de 17 desobstrucciones, un empalme y 11 correcciones en válvulas en el mismo lapso.
“Las averías son muy frecuentes en los sistemas de distribución de agua potable, sobre todo en lugares donde las tuberías están colocadas de manera superficial y son muy vulnerables a las corrientes de aguas provocadas por lluvias intensas como ha ocurrido en los últimos días en el Gran Santo Domingo», detalló.
Entre los sectores favorecidos con las correcciones de averías se encuentran: Villa Fontana, Villa Consuelo, Los Alcarrizos, Invivienda, Ensanche Ozama y El Almirante, entre otros…
