Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD), el ingeniero Felipe Suberví
anunció que equipará los distintos sistemas de la institución para
abastecer de agua potable a tres millones y medio de habitantes del Gran
Santo Domingo.
El anuncio del funcionario fue acogido con beneplácito por representantes
de 158 juntas de vecinos de la Circunscripción #1 del Distrito Nacional, y
más de 20 sectores representados, quienes expresaron a viva voz que es la
primera vez que sus quejas son atendidas. La buena nueva fue dada a conocer
durante un encuentro efectuado en el local Club General Antonio Duvergé,
del sector Honduras.
Suberví habló en forma clara y precisa del trabajo a realizar “Tenemos 30
años de atraso en lo que es la inversión en el sector agua, llámese
abastecimiento de agua potable y drenaje sanitario. Yo tengo la intención
de resolver ese problema en el Gran Santo Domingo”, precisó.
Acto seguido, impartió instrucciones inmediatas para que un conjunto de
técnicos de la institución realice los levantamientos requeridos, a fin de
resolver las averías en redes de agua potable y de alcantarillado que
afectan a los residentes de decenas de sectores.
Habló de que la prioridad de su gestión es llevar agua potable a todos los
hogares bajo la responsabilidad de la CAASD, ya que es un compromiso
asumido por el presidente Luis Abinader.
En el encuentro caracterizado por la satisfacción y alegría de la gente, el
ingeniero Suberví, se comprometió a cumplir su palabra: “Cuando decimos una
cosa es porque tenemos la solución, no podemos comprometer nuestra palabra
por nada. Ahora mismo estamos trabajando para que las labores del sector
público sean tan eficientes como las del privado”, expresó.
Precisó que en lo que lleva al frente de la institución, se ha centrado en
resolver pequeñas cosas para resolver grandes problemas. “Este es un
compromiso que asumimos dando la cara al presidente de la República, que
prometió resolver el problema de la escasez de agua”.

Entre los asistentes al encuentro figuró el regidor y líder comunitario,
Eliezer Reynoso, quien dijo: “Hoy en vez de ustedes ir a la CAASD, la CAASD
está yendo donde ustedes. Eso no se había visto nunca”. Agradeció al
funcionario su acercamiento con las comunidades para escuchar sus
inquietudes y llevarle solución.
De igual manera, la señora Arianna Rodríguez, presidenta de la Junta de
Vecinos Unidad y Crecimiento con la Comunidad del sector Evaristo Morales,
sostuvo: “Yo más que agradecida por la actitud que ha tenido el nuevo
director de la CAASD de trasladarse a las comunidades”.
Al encuentro acudieron representantes de los sectores: San Carlos, El
Portal, Atala, Mata Hambre, Honduras, El Manguito, Residencial José
Contreras, San Miguel, Miramar, Pradera Verde, San Antón, 30 de mayo,
Ciudad Colonial, Ensanche La Paz, Ensanche Quisqueya y Evaristo Morales.
Junto al director general, estuvo el director de Servicios Sociales, Manuel
Núñez, así como técnicos de la institución, quienes acogieron con
satisfacción ser parte de la solución de quejas y problemas comunitarios
