Las intervenciones garantizarán el servicio de manera permanente 400 mil residentes del municipio.
Santo Domingo. – La Corporación de Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD) informó que sus brigadas agilizan los trabajos para ampliar y garantizar el abastecimiento de agua potable a varias localidades del municipio Santo Domingo Este.
Mediante un comunicado, la institución explicó que la obra a cargo de la Unidad Ejecutora de Proyectos tiene la finalidad de incrementar el servicio del preciado líquido a los sectores de Alma Rosa I y Alma Rosa II, Ensanche Ozama, Las Palmas de Alma Rosa, El Brisal, Mendoza, Villa Faro, entre otros.
En ese orden, destacó que las labores fueron iniciadas en la avenida San Vicente de Paul esquina calle 20-30, al tiempo de señalar que forman parte de la macro red.
“Avanzamos en la instalación de metros lineales de tuberías, colocación de válvulas, entre otras ejecuciones, que garantizarán el suministro a esos sectores de Santo Domingo Este y que pondrá en servicio la línea de 48 pulgadas ya instalada”, indicó la entidad estatal.
De igual modo, detalló los avances de los trabajos de ampliación de la segunda etapa del sistema Barrera de Salinidad, proyecto que beneficiará a más 1.8 millones de habitantes de la provincia.
Estas labores buscan aumentar de 4 a 6 metros cúbicos (m³) la producción de agua potable del acueducto que abastecerá a la población de los municipios Santo Domingo Este y Santo Domingo Norte, respectivamente.
Entre los puntos que forman parte de la megaobra se destacan la construcción de torres piezométricas, instalación de las tuberías de líneas de impulsión, entre otras.
