El subdirector de la CAASD insta a los jóvenes a trabajar con determinación para lograr sus metas
Santo Domingo. — Este lunes, el subdirector general de la Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD), Francisco Campusano, encabezó el acto de inauguración del año escolar 2024-2025 en el Liceo Técnico Ingeniero Osvaldo B. Báez, ubicado en la Planta de Tratamiento Haina-Manoguayabo.
Durante el evento, Campusano manifestó que este nuevo año será para los jóvenes un camino lleno de oportunidades para alcanzar sus metas personales y un peldaño más para su futuro profesional.
“Hoy marcamos el comienzo de un año escolar que promete grandes oportunidades para nuestros estudiantes. Estamos comprometidos con la educación de calidad y con el desarrollo integral de cada uno de ellos”, afirmó.
El funcionario indicó que el centro educativo, que forma parte del esfuerzo continuo de la CAASD por promover la educación en comunidades cercanas a sus instalaciones, ha sido renovado y mejorado para ofrecer un entorno de aprendizaje más adecuado.
Precisó, además, que el liceo ofrece una variedad de programas técnicos orientados a preparar a los estudiantes para el mercado laboral en áreas clave relacionadas con la gestión del agua y el medio ambiente.
“Nuestro objetivo es que los jóvenes no solo reciban una educación académica, sino también una formación técnica que les permita tener éxito en sus futuras carreras”, resaltó.
La directora del centro educativo, Jennifer Zapata, expresó que cada nuevo año escolar es una oportunidad para reinventar el futuro y abrir puertas hacia nuevas posibilidades.
“Estoy emocionada de comenzar este viaje con cada uno de ustedes y de ver cómo juntos alcanzamos nuestras metas más ambiciosas. Hemos trabajado arduamente para garantizar que nuestras instalaciones estén al más alto nivel, brindando a nuestros estudiantes las mejores herramientas para su desarrollo académico y técnico”, indicó Zapata.
El acto de inicio también contó con la presencia de padres, docentes y estudiantes, quienes mostraron su entusiasmo por el comienzo de las clases.
Sobre el centro educativo
El Liceo Técnico de la Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo se fundó en el año 1995, bajo el nombre del ingeniero Osvaldo B. Báez Machado, a quien se le reconoce como el autor de la planificación de las calles y planos de todo el alcantarillado de Santo Domingo.
El centro educativo, que ha graduado 799 estudiantes desde su fundación, opera en la planta de tratamiento Haina-Manoguayabo.
Actualmente cuenta con 105 matriculados. Además, tiene una biblioteca y departamentos de orientación, enfermería, psicología e informática.
