CAASD recolecta más de 790,000 tapas para ayudar a pacientes de cáncer

Fellito Suberví destacó que la iniciativa Tapitas X Quimio no solo simboliza generosidad, sino una nueva oportunidad de vida.

Santo Domingo. – La Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD) a través de su voluntariado, recolectó 790,554 tapas plásticas en apoyo a la campaña Tapitas X Quimio, superando la meta por encima de 100 mil tapas. El año pasado se recolectaron 680,812.

La iniciativa tiene como finalidad recoger tapas plásticas en lugares públicos y cambiarlas por dinero que es donado para ayudar en tratamientos de quimioterapia a niños con cáncer. Este es el segundo año consecutivo en el que participa la CAASD en la campaña.

En ese mismo orden, el director de la institución, ingeniero Felipe Suberví (Fellito), destacó la integración y actitud que asumieron los colaboradores recogiendo tapas para salvar vidas y mejorar el medioambiente.

“Gracias al esfuerzo de ustedes, más pacientes con cáncer estarán recibiendo su tratamiento de quimioterapia. Cada tapita no solo simboliza generosidad, sino una nueva oportunidad de vida”, resaltó el funcionario.

“No hay acción pequeña ante un gran objetivo. Cada uno de nosotros puede ser un agente de cambio”, continuó destacando Suberví.

El director de la CAASD reconoció el trabajo en equipo de todos los departamentos, especialmente del equipo de la Dirección Social que recolectó 285,820 tapas de forma muy entusiasta, así como Relaciones Sociales y Recursos Humanos, con 87,590 tapas cada uno.

“Como dice el dicho, de gota a gota, hicimos todo el mar. Continuemos inspirando y liderando. Desde la CAASD y su Voluntariado apoyaremos iniciativas como esta, porque juntos podemos hacer mucho más”, dijo Fellito.

La CAASD formó su propio centro de acopio móvil e integró a sus colaboradores para lograr el objetivo de superar la meta y la alcanzaron.

Los organizadores de esta iniciativa entienden que detrás de las tapitas de refrescos y agua embotellada, algo que se ve muy simple, representan un daño para la vida marina y terrestre.

Las doctoras Sonia Dickson, Katherine Candelario y Lliamel Guzmán son las fundadoras del programa Tapitas x Quimio, convirtiéndolo en ayuda para niños con cáncer a instituciones benéficas.
