La moderna obra única en el país se realizó encima de la Cañada Tiradentes dejando atrás las preocupaciones de los moradores del lugar.
Santo Domingo. – El presidente de la República, Luis Abinader junto al director general de la Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD), Felipe Suberví (Fellito), dejó inaugurado el moderno parque ambiental Cristo Park, construido sobre los 1.5 km de la antigua cañada saneada de la Tiradentes que beneficiará a más de 350 mil personas.
Durante el acto realizado en el parque, Suberví aseguró que la obra, cuya inversión es de 560 millones de pesos, brindará a los residentes y visitantes la oportunidad de disfrutar de una novedosa obra de la ingeniería moderna que promueve el esparcimiento, la salud y el bienestar de la comunidad.
“La iniciativa fue un compromiso que asumimos desde la CAASD para mejorar la calidad de vida de más de 350 mil habitantes de la zona”, destacó el funcionario.
Explicó que la cañada Tiradentes, fue por años un lugar de vandalismo y preocupaciones, pero hoy, gracias al apoyo irrestricto del presidente de la República Luis Abinader y un equipo de hombres y mujeres comprometidos, la han transformado en un símbolo de cambio y desarrollo.
El titular de la institución precisó que para el presidente Luis Abinader mejorar la calidad de vida de los dominicanos es una prioridad.
“Hoy celebramos que Cristo Park es una obra para la historia, una ejecutoria realizada por un gobierno enfocado en el bienestar de la gente, que trabaja para llevar soluciones a millones de personas en toda la geografía nacional, así es el gobierno que encabeza nuestro presidente de la República, Luis Abinader”, resaltó.
Atractivos
Cristo Park es un espacio combinado con elementos ambientales y recreativos como: áreas de juegos infantiles, cinco pabellones para realizar actividades, anfiteatro para 300 personas, un vivero, una ciclovía, dos canchas de baloncesto, una profesional y otra juvenil, dos canchas de voleibol, una cancha de soccer, gimnasio, glorieta, también un destacamento de policías, baños, y más de 150 parqueos disponibles.
Además, la recuperación de imbornales, cisterna de 72 mil galones, sistema con pozo con capacidad de 200 galones por minuto, aspersores de riego automático, cientos árboles plantados y miles de casas pintadas con colores vibrantes para embellecimiento de la zona, entre otras amenidades.
Cristo Park no sólo marca un hito en la transformación de los espacios anteriormente degradados, sino que simboliza un compromiso con la comunidad, ofreciendo un ambiente donde los ciudadanos pueden disfrutar de la belleza de la naturaleza y la seguridad de un espacio público.
Los sectores que serán beneficiados de manera directa son: Ensanche La Fe; Cristo Rey; La Agustina; Barrio Obrero; Arroyo Hondo y La Puya de Arroyo Hondo.
Se recuerda que la Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD), dentro del plan de recuperación de espacios que impulsa el presidente Luis Abinader, ha intervenido 42 kilómetros de cañadas para mejorar las condiciones medioambientales y de vida de más de un millón doscientos mil habitantes que viven en los entornos de estos afluentes, siendo Cristo Park el kilometro 12.5 entregado al día de hoy.
