El director de la CAASD, Felipe Suberví (Fellito), precisó que la mayoría de las obras se encuentran en su fase final
Santo Domingo. – El director general de la Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD), Felipe Suberví (Fellito), informó que trabajan de manera acelerada para garantizar el servicio de agua potable a los residentes del municipio Santo Domingo.
Suberví explicó que más de 400,000 habitantes de esa demarcación de la provincia comenzarán a recibir, muy pronto, más de 28 millones de galones de agua potable adicional por día.
Asimismo, anunció la entrega de las cañadas completamente saneadas de Marañón, Altos de Sabana Perdida y Villa Emilia, fase II, las cuales puntualizó constituían un foco de contaminación e insalubridad para el entorno.
Entre las obras en fase de ejecución por la Corporación, Fellito mencionó la construcción del trasvase para llevar 28 millones de galones de agua a Santo Domingo Norte desde la zona oriental, además de la habilitación de tanques, y construcción de pozos que adicionaron 1.2 millones de galones más.
Dijo que los componentes que utilizará la institución serán a través de la estación de bombeo de El Tamarindo 1, líneas de impulsión, que abarca varios tramos entre la estación El Tamarindo 2, la Charles de Gaulle, carretera Mella, La Victoria y Sabana Perdida. También por una línea matriz que va desde el Cruce La Virgen, Los Restauradores, La Victoria, Sabana Perdida y el puente La Barquita.
Fellito Suberví destacó la rehabilitación de cinco depósitos reguladores para el almacenamiento de agua potable, entre los que se destacan El Milloncito, Juan Pablo Duarte II, tanque Villa de los Milagros, Jardín Genoveva, y el tanque Bienaventuranza, proyectos que beneficiarán a más de 25,000 personas, en las comunidades del mismo nombre.
“La mayoría de estos trabajos están casi para entrega y mejorarán en un cien por ciento las condiciones de funcionamiento de estos tanques metálicos para recuperar un volumen de almacenamiento de más de un 1.2 millones de galones de agua por día”, explicó el titular de la CAASD.
De igual modo, se refirió también a la habilitación de los pozos I y II de Polvorín ya terminados, los cuales aportan unos 650 galones de agua por minuto, mientras que la cañada Altos de Sabana Perdida se encuentra en un 98% de terminación.
Además, el funcionario indicó que las labores de saneamiento de la cañada de Marañón superan el 50% de ejecución, al tiempo de destacar que se trata de un afluente de 2.5 kilómetros de longitud, cuyas aguas residuales afectan el buen vivir y el entorno de los sectores Los Palmares, Libertad y el mismo sector de Marañón.
Suberví explicó que el acondicionamiento de estas tres cañadas beneficiará a más de 75 mil habitantes. También recordó que los equipos de la Corporación culminan la ampliación de la red de distribución de agua potable para el sector El Cristal de Sabana Perdida.
Resaltó, que la gestión que dirige en la CAASD está enfocada en ampliar y mejorar la cobertura en la distribución de agua potable, saneamiento de cañadas y recuperación de espacios para el entretenimiento en todo el Gran Santo Domingo.
Agregó, que actualmente, finalizan un pliego de obras que iniciaron entre 2021 y 2022 para fines de entrega antes de que concluya el cuatrienio.
