Santo Domingo.- La Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD) y el Instituto Nacional de Atención Integral a la Primera Infancia (INAIPI) firmaron un acuerdo que busca garantizar la eficiente atención a niños de hasta cinco años de edad y a sus familiares.
Mediante el convenio interinstitucional rubricado por los directores de la CAASD, arquitecto Alejandro Montás, y del INAIPI, Berlinesa Franco, ambas instituciones se comprometen a identificar los lazos reales y efectivos que permitan la articulación de iniciativas tendentes a favorecer la población infantil con los servicios que ofrecen ambos organismos.
«Nos comprometemos a brindar un servicio eficiente y cubrir las demandas que el INAIPI requiera dentro de nuestras responsabilidades y nuestras funciones», expresó el arquitecto Alejandro Montás.
Otro de los objetivos concertados es identificar y describir los mecanismos institucionales que permitirán priorizar acciones para el desarrollo de las misiones de ambas dependencias, así como evaluar la situación actual de los servicios que ofrecen y proponer soluciones que favorezcan la ejecución del convenio.
«Este es un acuerdo que beneficiará a ambas instituciones, asegurando que los niños de cero a cinco años tengan un ambiente armónico donde la salud, la
educación y el cuidado estén garantizados», puntualizó Montás.
Con el acuerdo, la CAASD se compromete a designar un personal que brinde atención permanente en gestión de solicitudes de los servicios que realice el INAIPI en el Gran Santo Domingo y a exonerar de pagos de moras y otros recargos que tengan con el servicio los centros de esa entidad especializada en la atención de los infantes.
También pactaron educar a los niños y a sus familiares sobre el uso racional y responsable del agua.
La CAASD asumió, asimismo, el compromiso de facilitar el servicio de camiones de agua cuando le requiera el INAIPI y a ofrecerle a sus centros de servicios análisis químico de aguas residuales, así como el análisis bacteriológico de la calidad del agua y análisis para agua de consumo humano y de cuantificación de aerobios mesófilos.
El organismo regulador del agua potable en el Gran Santo Domingo se comprometió a facilitar la recolección de aguas residuales y a la formación del personal técnico del INAIPI en operación y mantenimiento de sistemas de agua potable y saneamiento.
También convino viabilizar los mecanismos para dar respuesta a solicitudes de cambio de diámetro de acometidas, detección de fugas intradomiciliarias y de instalación de medidores en caso de que lo requiera el INAIPI, incluidas las limpiezas de pozo séptico con camión succionador.
Según lo pactado, la CAASD realizará pruebas de laboratorio para la certificación de la calidad del agua, cumplimiento de los requisitos establecidos y ofrecerá asesoría técnica para cualquier situación interna de averías en las instalaciones del INAIPI y del buen manejo del servicio.
«Significa una importante alianza estratégica que tendrá un impacto muy favorable para los actuales 39 centros o estancias infantiles y las que el gobierno del presidente Danilo Medina está construyendo en diferentes sectores de la zona metropolitana de Santo Domingo», expresó la directora del INAIPI.
Esa dependencia se comprometió a valorar las solicitudes que podrían hacer los técnicos de la CAASD y a brindar apoyo técnico en procesos formativos vinculados a temas de primera infancia y prácticas de crianzas responsables.
El INAIPI también asumió la responsabilidad de crear una cultura del uso racional del agua de forma permanente con los niños, familiares y empleados, tanto dentro como fuera del recinto, así como cumplir con los pagos de los servicios de la CAASD en el tiempo requerido.
Asimismo, se compromete a colaborar con los reportes de averías de agua potable y alcantarillado sanitario en las vías públicas, extendiendo dicha colaboración a los familiares de los niños.
«Gracias a este convenio los servicios de agua potable incrementarán la calidad de la atención integral que en el INAIPI ofrecemos a miles de niños y niñas de la primera infancia de nuestro país», añadió Berlinesa Franco.
Una comisión de seguimiento de ambas instituciones se encargará de la ejecución y de coordinar las acciones conforme a los objetivos descritos. La misma estará integrada por los representantes designados por cada una de las partes firmantes.
El acuerdo constituye una alianza entre ambas entidades y tendrá vigencia por tiempo indefinido.
Al finalizar la firma del convenio, los directores de ambas instituciones realizaron un recorrido por la Dirección de Calidad del Agua y el dispensario médico de la CAASD, donde dejaron inaugurada la sala de lactancia que beneficiará a empleadas de la Corporación.
