La CAASD participa con éxito en tercer simulacro Nacional de Evacuación ante la ocurrencia de un terremoto

Este tipo de eventos tiene como objetivo fundamental fortalecer los protocolos de respuesta ante la ocurrencia de un evento sísmico.

Santo Domingo. – La Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD), participó por tercer año consecutivo el simulacro Nacional de Evacuación ante la ocurrencia de un terremoto en la sede central de la institución que dirige el ingeniero Felipe Suberví-Fellito-, atendiendo a una disposición del presidente Luis Abinader, a través del Centro de Operaciones de Emergencias (COE).

Héctor Mañón, encargado del Área de Seguridad e Higiene Laboral de la CAASD, destacó que todas las áreas de los tres pisos del edificio 1 de la CAASD fueron desocupados en un tiempo de cuatro minutos y diez segundos, para un total de 193 personas evacuadas sin ningún inconveniente.

Al concluir la jornada, que inició a las 10: 00 de la mañana, Mañón agradeció a cada uno de los brigadistas y personal militar que formó parte del simulacro, por el éxito logrado durante la jornada, que fue desarrollada con el propósito de preparar a la población dominicana para responder, en caso de ocurrir un evento de esa naturaleza.

En ese sentido, valoró la visión del COE al realizar este tipo de tareas, que contribuyen a practicar los planes de contingencia, protocolos y procedimientos de evacuación familiar, empresarial e institucional establecidos para fortalecer la preparación de la población y respuesta en sentido general ante estas eventualidades.

Brigadas de emergencias

Como parte de los objetivos de la gestión del ingeniero Felipe Suberví, se ha trabajado en la prioridad de garantizar la seguridad y salud de cada uno de los colaboradores, por tal razón la CAASD cuenta con brigadas de emergencias distribuidas en la sede central y las distintas dependencias que han sido capacitadas en ruta de evacuación rápida, uso de extintores y primeros auxilios.
