Gestión del ingeniero Suberví se destaca por el cuidado y preservación de los recursos naturales.
Santo Domingo. –La preservación del medioambiente y los recursos naturales son de los ejes transversales de las ejecutorias del ingeniero Felipe Suberví (Fellito), director general de la Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD), quien destaca que la intervención de más de 42 kilómetros de cañadas para ser saneada se enmarca en el plan de recuperación de espacios y política de rostro humano que impulsa el presidente Luis Abinader, mejorando las condiciones medioambientales y de vida a más de un millón doscientos mil habitantes que viven en los entornos de estos afluentes.
“El norte de nuestra gestión, además del tema del agua, ha sido la limpieza de cañadas y recuperación de espacios, para de manera integral aportar a crear cambios que no solo impacten al medioambiente, sino a la vida de los ciudadanos del Gran Santo Domingo. Es por esto, que cuando saneamos una cañada luego de concluida, dejamos en el lugar una cancha de baloncesto o un área de esparcimiento y recreación para los habitantes de la comunidad”. Tal es el caso del saneamiento pluvial y sanitario de la cañada Tiradentes, en donde se levanta el #CristoPark, un espacio que contará con canchas de baloncesto, voleibol, anfiteatro, ciclovías, vivero, entre muchas amenidades más, impactando la vida de más de 350,000 habitantes de Cristo Rey y zonas aledañas.
Asimismo, informó que la institución, a través de su departamento de Hidrogeología, realiza jornadas de reforestación en las áreas boscosas donde están ubicadas las tomas de agua que abastecen a los principales acueductos del país.
La CAASD, como parte de las instituciones que tienen que ver con el manejo y distribución de agua potable, se sensibiliza con las iniciativas que desarrolla el gobierno para mantener un medioambiente sano a favor de las comunidades e insta a cuidar y a proteger nuestros recursos naturales, a propósito de la celebración del Día Mundial del Medioambiente.
Además, a través del Centro de Documentación, la CAASD desarrolla una serie de programas educativos relacionados a la preservación y cuidado de nuestros recursos naturales, en el caso específico del agua.
Desde ese departamento se ofrecen charlas continuas, las cuales son llevadas a los centros escolares públicos y privados, así como a los colaboradores, socios y público en general.
Las campañas El Vigilante del Agua y Así No, llaman la atención sobre “aquellas malas prácticas que debemos erradicar en favor de racionalizar el preciado líquido”, precisa la CAASD.
