Santo Domingo. – El director general de la Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD), ingeniero Felipe Suberví, recibió en su despacho una visita de cortesía de la Defensora del Pueblo, Zoila Martínez junto a una Comisión, con el fin de continuar los trabajos de saneamiento de las cañadas del gran Santo Domingo.
El director de la CAASD acogió con mucha estima el interés de la defensora del pueblo, sobre un efectivo desarrollo en el cuidado de la salud y el medio ambiente para el beneficio de la población.
De su lado, Zoila Martínez, expresó que su visita daba lugar a la intención de que sean culminados los trabajos de saneamiento de las cañadas en el gran Santo Domingo que viene realizando la Corporación.
Asimismo, explicó que, para la descontaminación de las cañadas, es sumamente importante educar a la población, quienes, a su vez, tienen el deber de crear conciencia y cuidar su entorno.
Durante la reunión, el director de la CAASD recibió un kit de la Defensora del Pueblo que contenía la ley de legislación, castilla de derechos humanos, brochures, entre otros.
