Además, realiza 7,943 intervenciones en redes de alcantarillado y repara 195 averías
SANTO DOMINGO. El director de la Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD), ingeniero Felipe Suberví, anunció que esta semana que concluye la producción de agua potable en el Gran Santo Domingo fue de 417 millones de galones por día.
Explicó que los diferentes sistemas de acueductos están operando con normalidad, por lo cual, dijo se cumple la programación establecida en el servicio del agua potable.
Se refirió de manera específica al sistema Valdesia-Santo Domingo, para resaltar que aporta cerca de 40% del agua que se suministra al Distrito Nacional y municipios adyacentes, al tiempo de resaltar que la cota de la presa de Valdesia se registró en la altura de 147.61 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
Mencionó también el caso de la presa Jigüey, la cual estaba en la cota 537.38.
Suberví manifestó que, como medida preventiva durante la actual temporada ciclónica, no se permite el crecimiento a su totalidad de las presas para garantizar un amortiguamiento adecuado, en caso de que se presentara algún fenómeno atmosférico.
Soluciona 195 averías
Como parte de los trabajos en beneficio de la población, brigadas de técnicos y obreros solucionaron un total de 195 averías en el Gran Santo Domingo, expresó complacido Suberví.
Citó como ejemplo el caso del Departamento Nordeste, que tuvo a cargo la solución de éstos daños en los sectores: Los Alcarrizos, Villa Consuelo, Villa Juana, Los Ángeles, La Zurza, Villas Agrícolas, entre otros.
Además, dijo que el departamento Suroeste de la institución realizó intervenciones en sectores como El Cacique, Las Caobas, Engombe, Ensanche Evaristo Morales y en algunos residenciales de la zona.
De su lado, el departamento Este corrigió averías en los sectores Isabelita, Villa Duarte, Los Mameyes y el ensanche Ozama.
Finalmente, el Departamento Norte solucionó otros casos ocurridos en Villa Mella y Sabana Perdida.
Intervenciones sanitarias
El director de la CAASD informó que se ejecutaron 7,943 asistencias sanitarias de limpieza de líneas, registros externos, acometidas y reparación de líneas.
El funcionario explicó que los trabajos buscan mejorar el servicio de agua potable y las redes del alcantarillado de Santo Domingo, y que fueron realizados por la Dirección de Operaciones de dicho organismo.
