CAASD informa avería en Engombe afecta servicio de agua para 50% sectores SDO y otros 18 del DN

Santo Domingo.- La Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD) informó que una avería en el sector Engombe, afecta el suministro de agua potable en el 50% de los sectores del municipio Santo Domingo Oeste y a otros 18 del Distrito Nacional, ubicados al sur y norte de las avenidas Independencia y 30 de Mayo.

El director general de la CAASD, arquitecto Alejandro Montás, indicó que se trata de una falla en una línea de 60 pulgadas en el referido sector, frente al supermercado Aprezio, la cual procede de la planta II del Sistema Haina Manoguayabo.

Montás explicó que los sectores afectados son: El Invi, Las Acacias, Miramar, Solimán, La Feria, así como los hospitales Robert Reíd Cabral y General de la Policía Nacional.

También los sectores: Atala, El Portal, La Julia, Zona Colonial, Gascue, Villa Francisca, Don Bosco, Bella Vista, ensanche Quisqueya, Evaristo Morales, Mirador Norte y Mirador Sur.

Asimismo, se verán con dificultades en el servicio: Bayona, Loyola, Buenos Aires, El Palmar, entre otros.

El funcionario sostuvo que personal de la CAASD labora afanosamente para corregir la avería en la línea de 60 pulgadas que conduce el agua potabilizada desde la planta II del Sistema Haina Manoguayabo.

“Brigadas de la CAASD han trabajado arduamente con equipos pesados en la identificación y localización de la avería, la que no había sido posible identificar porque estuvimos trabajando en el drenado de agua que se acumuló en el entorno”, puntualizó.

Montás dijo que además se trabajó en la estabilización del talud de la excavación, porque es un material muy inestable y “tenemos infraestructuras en la cercanía de la excavación, tales como una torre del tendido eléctrico de alta tensión, así como negocios, por lo que se hizo necesario estabilizar el terreno a fin de evitar algún derrumbe”.

“Estamos tratando de visualizar la magnitud que tiene la avería, presumiblemente es en una pieza especial, y vamos a proceder a corregir en el menor tiempo posible”, añadió.

Alejandro Montás ofreció excusas a los moradores de los sectores afectados con el servicio producto de la situación
