Cientos de féminas abarrotan Club Los Cachorros y decenas reciben presentes
Santo Domingo.- A ritmo de mariachis, alegría, sorpresas y entrega de canastas a decenas de embarazadas, el miembro del Comité Central del Partido de la Liberación Dominicana (PLD), arquitecto Alejandro Montás, y su esposa, la arquitecta Yolanda Guerrero, celebraron el Día Internacional de la Mujer en el Club Los Cachorros, de la Circunscripción número 2 del Distrito Nacional.
Cientos de féminas del movimiento Mujeres con Alejandro mostraron su apoyo al dirigente del PLD y se dieron cita en el populoso sector Cristo Rey para celebrar el 8 de marzo, fecha en que se conmemora la lucha de la mujer por su participación, en procura de equidad de oportunidades, muchas veces menores ante las del hombre, en la sociedad y en su desarrollo íntegro como persona.
“Hoy estamos aquí para festejar y, al mismo tiempo, incentivar a seguir luchando y empleando esfuerzos para lograr la igualdad en el trato hacia la mujer. Debemos seguir forjando una sociedad que abra más espacios de participación a las mujeres y niñas, donde el tema de diferencias por género, sea erradicado en su totalidad”, expresó el líder político.
“Si actuamos con convicción y compromiso, podemos transformar las estadísticas que hoy tenemos y convertir la violencia de género en un tema de épocas pasadas. Cada uno de nosotros tiene el deber y la responsabilidad de actuar, todos juntos podemos lograr el objetivo”, dijo Montás.
Resaltó que: “Una sociedad para avanzar necesita obligatoriamente de la participación de las mujeres en todos los ámbitos, por eso, las mujeres deben gozar plenamente de sus derechos, sin ningún tipo de limitaciones o restricciones”.
“Nos comprometemos desde nuestras funciones actuales, y desde donde nos encontremos en el futuro, a seguir luchando por los derechos de cada una de ustedes, tal como lo expresa la Constitución de la República. ¡La mujer no es un día en el año, la mujer es todos los días! y es por esto que nos comprometemos hoy y siempre a defender sus derechos y exigir el trato igualitario. ¡Dios bendiga a las mujeres! Ustedes son el sostén de la familia, la fuerza que mueve el progreso y que impulsan la sociedad”, agregó.
La actividad fue motivo de gozo para que las damas que abarrotaron el anfiteatro del club y manifestaran su apoyo al arquitecto Montás en sus aspiraciones de ser el próximo alcalde del Distrito Nacional, y a ritmo de redoblantes vociferaban “¡Alejandro alcalde!”.
