Santo Domingo.- La Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD) está empleada a fondo en trabajos de colocación de una línea de 20 pulgadas de diámetro que procuran abastecer de agua potable a una población 47,513 habitantes de varios sectores del municipio Santo Domingo Este, aseguró el arquitecto Alejandro Montás.
El director general de la CAASD explicó que realizan dichos trabajos en la avenida Ecológica, específicamente en el tramo comprendido entre las avenidas Charles de Gaulle e Hipódromo V Centenario.
El arquitecto Montás detalló que con la obra, cuya ejecución se encuentra en un 68%, serán beneficiados con el preciado líquido los residentes de los sectores: Paraíso Oriental, Mirador del Este, los residenciales Triunfadores y Altagracia Amarilis, así como las urbanizaciones privadas en el referido tramo.
“Esta semana continuamos las ejecutorias en esta obra con la colocación de 25 metros lineales de tuberías de 20 pulgadas de diámetro y a la fecha hemos instalado 215.60 metros lineales de tubería 20 pulgadas de diámetro, entre otros avances”, precisó el director de la CAASD.
Además, Montás informó que van adelantados los trabajos de la red de distribución de agua potable en tuberías para el barrio La Ureña, en el kilómetro 19 de la autopista Las Américas, también en Santo Domingo Este, para abastecer del preciado líquido a sus residentes.
Montás detalló que a la fecha han colocado 75 acometidas domiciliarias, entre otros trabajos, y que esta obra se encuentra en un 60% de ejecución.
Con ambos proyectos, la CAASD busca mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas que resultarán beneficiadas con los mismos.
