En la reunión participaron la gobernadora y los alcaldes de los diferentes municipios de la provincia
Monte Planta. – El ministro de Energía y Minas, Antonio Almonte y el director general de la Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD), Felipe Suberví, encabezaron junto a las autoridades de esta provincia una mesa de trabajo, con el objetivo de hacer frente a los daños causados por el huracán Fiona, tras su paso por el país.
En un encuentro realizado en el edificio de la Gobernación, el cual contó con la presencia de la gobernadora Rafaela Javier Gomera, alcaldes y representantes municipales, se pasó balance a las edificaciones que sufrieron daños producto del fenómeno atmosférico, las cuales serán reparadas en la jornada especial de reconstrucción de viviendas “Primero tu hogar”, iniciativa del presidente Luis Abinader, que busca auxiliar a más de 8,000 hogares afectados en el Este y Nordeste del país.
En ese sentido, Suberví explicó que, por instrucciones del mandatario, pasaron balance a los daños ocasionados en la demarcación, destacando que cada funcionario municipal entregó un informe de la situación de cada comunidad.
“Se iniciará un plan de trabajo para la reparación de las viviendas, a fin de que la población afectada por el fenómeno no quede a la intemperie”, precisó el funcionario.
Asimismo, detalló que otras instituciones del Estado también se unirán a la misión que busca llevar ayuda rápida a quienes quedaron en condiciones vulnerables, además de garantizar su seguridad.
“El presidente Abinader nos ha enviado aquí con el único propósito de llevar soluciones y tranquilidad a nuestra gente, a las que las condiciones climáticas les destrozaron sus hogares”, manifestó.
El titular de la CAASD afirmó que equipos del Ministerio de Obras Públicas, la Empresa de Electricidad del Este (EDEESTE), entre otras entidades estatales realizan labores para la reparación de calles y caminos vecinales, así como reactivación del servicio eléctrico en Monte Plata.
Además de Almonte, Suberví y Javier Gomera, la mesa de trabajo estuvo integrada por el representante del senador de la demarcación, Winson Burgos; la alcaldesa de Monte Plata, Altagracia Herrera; el alcalde de Sabana Grande de Boya, Isidro Mieses, y el alcalde del municipio de Yamasá, Ramón De Los Santos Bisonó.
También, el alcalde de Peralvillo, Juan Francisco Manzueta; el alcalde del distrito municipal Majagual, Rumaldo Abreu; el alcalde de Los Botados, Ramón Santo; el alcalde de Mamá Tingo Nelson Acevedo; el alcalde de Don Juan Leonsito José, el representante del alcalde del Gonzalo, Juan Agustín Olivo; el alcalde de Chirino, Balbarin De Los Santos; el subdirector de la CAASD, Francisco Campusano, el director de Servicios Sociales, Manuel Núñez, entre otras autoridades.
